General

The basics — what Mahwords is, who it's for, and what we actually do day to day.

What does Mahwords actually do?+

We build editorial backlinks for businesses through guest posting, link building, blogger outreach, content writing, niche edits, and white-label services for agencies. In plain terms: we get your brand mentioned and linked to on real, relevant websites, and we write the content that makes those placements worth publishing in the first place.

Who is this for?+

Mostly SaaS companies, B2B service providers, e-commerce brands, and digital marketing agencies that need link building done properly — either for their own site or, in the case of agencies, for their clients under white label. We work with both established sites and newer ones, though our advice differs depending on which one you are.

Are you an agency or a freelancer?+

We operate as a small, focused agency rather than a large team with account layers between you and the people doing the work. That means direct communication and consistent quality, but it also means we're selective about how many campaigns we take on at once — we'd rather do fewer placements well than many placements badly.

Do you work with businesses outside the US?+

Yes. Our publisher network and client base aren't restricted by geography — what matters is whether your niche and goals are a good fit for the publications we work with, not where you're based.

Can I see examples of past placements before working with you?+

Yes — ask us directly and we'll share relevant examples for your niche where client confidentiality allows. Some clients prefer their campaigns stay private, so we won't share every placement publicly, but we can usually show enough to demonstrate the kind of quality you'd be getting.

Publishers & Quality

Where your content actually gets placed, and how we decide what's good enough.

How do you vet the publishers in your network?+

Every publisher is reviewed against eight criteria: verified organic traffic in Ahrefs or Semrush, Domain Rating of 30 or higher, active editorial activity, niche relevance, healthy link velocity, spam score under 5%, no disclosed paid-link policy, and confirmation it isn't a Private Blog Network. We reject over 70% of sites that apply to work with us.

What Domain Rating range are your publishers in?+

Our standard network sits in the DR 30–60 range, with premium publishers available above DR 60 depending on availability that month. We'll always show you the actual metrics of a proposed publisher before you commit — never just a number we're claiming without evidence.

Do you use PBNs (Private Blog Networks)?+

No, and we actively screen for and reject them. PBNs carry real risk of penalty for your site, and the entire reason agencies like Mahwords exist is to avoid exactly that kind of shortcut.

Can I request a specific publisher or website?+

Yes, and we'll evaluate it against our standard vetting criteria. If it passes, we're happy to use it. If it doesn't — for example if it shows signs of being a link farm or has a publicly disclosed paid-link policy — we'll explain why and suggest an alternative instead.

What happens if a placement turns out to be lower quality than promised?+

This shouldn't happen given our vetting process, but if a publisher's metrics genuinely don't match what was represented at time of placement, we'll address it directly — typically with a replacement placement at no additional cost.

Process & Pricing

How a campaign actually runs from first contact to invoice — and why we don't post fixed prices.

Why don't you have a fixed price list?+

Because a single number can't honestly reflect what a placement costs — a DR 35 niche blog and a DR 70 industry publication require very different effort, and a flat rate card usually means an agency is either overcharging on the lower tier or cutting corners on the higher one. We give real quotes, usually within 24 hours, based on what you're actually trying to achieve.

Can I approve content before it goes live?+

Yes, always. Every article goes through two approval stages: you review the draft before it's submitted to the publisher, and we confirm the live URL with you before invoicing. Nothing is published without your sign-off first.

Do I need to sign a contract?+

No. We operate on monthly agreements with no long-term lock-in. You can pause or stop at any point. We'd rather earn your business every single month than rely on a contract to keep you from leaving.

How long does a typical guest post take from start to live?+

Usually 10–21 days from topic approval to a live URL, depending on the publisher's editorial turnaround. Some move faster, some slower — we'll give you a realistic estimate for the specific publisher once it's identified, rather than a generic promise upfront.

Do you offer discounts for higher volume?+

Yes, generally from 5+ placements per month onward, and further for ongoing retainers or agency white-label arrangements. Ask when you reach out and we'll give you the real numbers for your specific volume.

Can I supply my own content and just pay for placement?+

Yes, provided the content meets the target publication's editorial standards — we'll review it honestly and flag anything that needs adjustment before submission. Placement-only pricing is available; ask when you reach out.

Results & Reporting

What you'll actually see after a placement goes live, and how long results realistically take.

How long until I see ranking results?+

Honestly, 3–6 months for meaningful movement in most cases, depending on your starting authority, competition level, and how many placements are involved. Link building compounds over time — results at month 6 are typically much larger than at month 2. Any agency promising fast rankings from links alone should be questioned carefully.

What does a placement report actually include?+

The live URL, the publisher's Domain Rating at time of placement, organic traffic data for the publishing site, the exact anchor text used, and the target page the link points to on your site. Everything you'd need to verify the placement independently in your own tools.

Do you guarantee specific ranking positions?+

No, and any agency that does is overpromising. Rankings depend on dozens of factors beyond backlinks, including your on-page SEO, technical health, competition, and content quality. What we do guarantee is the quality and legitimacy of every placement itself.

What if a placed link gets removed or the page goes down?+

We monitor every placement for 90 days after it goes live. If the link is removed or the page is taken down within that window, we replace it at no additional charge. After 90 days, we'll work with you case by case.

Can you show me results from similar clients in my industry?+

Where confidentiality allows, yes — check our Case Studies page for documented examples, and feel free to ask directly about your specific industry when you reach out. We'll tell you honestly if we don't have directly comparable experience yet, rather than stretching an unrelated example to sound relevant.
